Hi I just recently cleaned out my rabbits cage and ending up finding little yellow bugs on the bottom of her cage and I am kind of freaking out. I just got back from vacation I had a family friend taking care of her and have never found these bugs when cleaning her cage before. She used to be an indoor bunny but for the past few months has been outside on my back porch. I am currently watching her to see if she is acting differently then usual just wondering if anyone had any theory on what it might be. Any advice will help thank you!

A picture or more description of the yellow bugs might help. Size shape?
Were they on her or on her poop or just laying on the bottom of the cage?
          Hopefully someone can help.

Don’t know if this is any help. http://bugsincyberspace.com/Cage_Pests.html
            Pictures would make it easier.

I don’t have any pictures I totally didn’t think of taking one. The bugs were maybe about a half an inch big and in the shape of an oval. I found them stuck to the bottom under her dirty cage bedding that I was cleaning out.

Are they moving or are they more like chrysalis ?

Some beetle pupae are yellowish. Were they moving or did they look like little mummies?

I’m wondering if what you were seeing were beetle pupae. Perhaps something from the Tenebrionidae family.
