I’m having a difficulty calculating the minimum 2 cups per 6 lb, since I’m just used to using a kitchen scale to weigh my daily rabbit’s veggies meal.

Can someone tell me how much do 2 cups of chopped veggies weigh approximately?

It’s hard to calculate because you need to know how heavy the veggie is and how densely you packed them and what veggie it is. A good estimate is 1 coffee mug is about one cup. Or you can just get a measuring cup.

Well isn’t the same when using a measuring cup? You can squeeze a lot more in the same volume

I’ve been having the same concerns as you, a cup of lettuce leaves is not the same as a cup of chopped up celery sticks so to speak =)

I’ve gone by intution largely but next time I give my buns their daily share, I’ll weigh it and write it here. There is no exact amount that is necessary – if you slowly introduce more and more greens, bunnies can eat an amazing amount per day – but that inevitably leads to them eating less hay. And they should always eat hay, because hay (grass) is needed to keep their teeth in check + for their stomachs.
