        Hey everyone!

Awhile back I asked for some tips on how to trim a fidgety bun’s nails, and many of you said the good ol’ bunny burrito. I can’t seem to figure out how to get at the back nails with the burrito method, since their back feet are tucked in there! I don’t want to lose the security the towel “burrito” provides. In the mean time, I’ve managed to clip his back nails without the burrito, but it’s very traumatizing and I literally can only get a nail or two a night until I get too frustrated or I don’t want to freak him out anymore. Any tips? Thank you!

One tip is to cover the rabbit’s head with a blankie or towel just so the rabbit can’t see. For some reason this often makes them calmer.

If you need to, you can do the trance method. Though trancing a rabbit is stressful to them, if it make the process significantly faster and injury free, the overall stress will be reduced.
