        Hey Everyone.

We are thinking of getting our bunny Goose a friend.  He is 8 months old.  I had an 11 WK girl all picked out  when I asked if could bring Goose by to see if they were compatible at all she said that even though goose is a fixed male he will just hump her a lot.  Is that true?  I am nervous about getting a second rabbit with no date.  I don’t mind keeping them apart and bonding them later but i’d like to know it may work at some point.

Humping is usually a normal part of bonding but I strongly recommend trying to do “bunny dates” with a bunny who is fixed. Even if your bun got on with the new bun, after she is spayed and her hormones settle, you may need to re-bond. Trying him with a fixed bun would give you a much clearer picture of compatibility. Are there any rescues or shelters near you?
