Warning: kind of a vent post!
Bonding bunnies has proved to be extremely stressful, and going into it I knew it would be. I know for some bondings it takes a couple months and it’s hardly been a little over a month since we began, yet still I’m worried. The buns have made tons of progress sure but it seems they’ve reached a kind of standstill where they can’t figure out dominance issues.
I know people say when bonding a pair always consider the fact that they won’t bond and they’ll always have to be housed separately. I’m prepared to do that but it would be such a bummer… My original rabbit Scamper could really use companionship and I adore Millie but they are both so stubborn.
I’m just feeling stressed and a little hopeless right now. Vent over!

I don’t really have any advice to share on this matter, as my first bonding experience will be starting in a few months – but I can sympathize! I’m already dreading the possibility of a difficult bonding.

I hope your bunnies work out their differences soon!

It took me over 8 months of on and off bonding mine. I gave up at one point. I had severe aggression issues with mine so your troubles don’t sound too serious. If my two could get bonded I am sure yours can too. I would suggest taking a break. A break will be helpful to you and your bunnies. I know how stressful it can be. I even cried at one point. Its silly now that I go back and think about it. It will get better just take a short break and get back into it. I wish you luck!

It took us several months off and on with Hazel and Obie. We could tell they liked each other, but when it came to housing them together, Hazel always attacked Obie. What finally helped was switching the room they would be living, it smelled of neither of them. In fact, it smelled like two entirely different bunnies! After a day of being together in the new room, they were fine.

We have always had our bunnies be neighbors for awhile before starting bonding. But sometimes they don’t wanna stay there.

              Good luck!
