I don’t think I posted any pictures last month! I need to be better, I haven’t been taking very many pictures either. Doesn’t help that they are still ADAMANTLY unbonded. Sigh.

Went to the park today, hoping a truly neutral territory would help with the bonding. It did not, not at all. But at least it was a new place for them to fight!

TL – I love Tucker and his little thundershirt; and even though I have a soft-spot for people/critters with OCD (have family and a cat with it), I am one day going to steal your tans!
I’m a softy for strong willed buns, and it doesn’t hurt that they are absolutely beautiful. Nora- Sometimes I think it’s just a matter of patience and waiting them out. Pete and Tilly fought, but it was usually because Tilly wanted to groom and Peter apparently thought she had cooties. They eventually learned they weren’t supposed to fight (at least while there were witnesses) and towards the end they actually had their personal bubbles shrink and the aggression disappeared completely (although they still weren’t cuddly with each other, they could touch and not fight). I’m sure that your two will eventually realize the benefits of working/living together.

I realize that I haven’t done any Zoey or TIlly pics yet this month, but I have yet to get one of either one of them that isn’t a blur. For ladies that are so good at lounging, they are also good at avoiding having pictures taken. About 1/2 of Duncans pics are too blurry or too close because he has to see if there is food on the phone.

Tonight I let Belle and Blossom see each other! I managed to get a couple of videos and the odd pic. Of course my over cautious arm was hovering to make sure there were no bunny accidents! Lots of tooth purring from Belle – and a binky from Blossom! Belle was really well behaved I was thoroughly impressed haha! Blossom growled and bit at the cage when Belle tried to stick her nose too close – but I think without the barriers there when they are both spayed and in neutral territory she would do less of that. All in all went pretty well and both buns seemed happy to see another bun

*The spot on his shoulder isn’t molt, it’s just where I was touching him… his fur just doesn’t have the fly-back Tilly’s does, so it can get disheveled easy. He’s still a cutie, though.

My wife is convinced is cruel to shut the boys away over night, out for three hours and then away 8 hours tomorrow (an unusual schedule clash between us) so as a compromise over free roam, I’ve set the kitchen up as a pen for them (if they manage to hop the barrier, well, good for them I guess).
Today the landlord sent around a couple of guys to check the electricals, something we only discovered when they turned up. I’m really anxious that they’re going to either chew up the cupboards (they haven’t yet chewed anything but it’s only a matter of time…) or another maintainer guy is going to rock up and let himself in (maybe the oven guy?) and discover them.
Still, they’re happy for the extra space.

No Duncan yet, today… but I tried my best to get Tilly and Zoey.
They kept being difficult and looking away or being complete blurs… so I didn’t get the most flattering of pictures.
The ladies will likely flay me if they see me post them.

I can’t believe it’s August! Look at all these cute buns…I’m loving all the Duncan, lol. Those ears <3 Though Tilly and Zoey look none too impressed with being awake with a camera flash in their faces, haha.
Paradigm – love the little kitchen set-up…I totally understand having less-than-ideal living situations. We lived with my grandfather for a while, so the rabbits lived out in a closed-in porch. It was air conditioned and shaded, but I still felt so bad having them out there so far away!
It’s so funny how Bubbles used the bathroom almost exactly in the middle between the two litter boxes…like, “You aren’t the boss of me, I’ll potty where I want!”
Here are a couple I took last night! It was maintenance night, so we trimmed nails and brushed hair and cleaned cages…
KitKat was “hiding” from the hairbrush…
I have to put a blanket over her head to get her to sit still long enough to brush all that hair!

). I actually asked the vet yesterday if she could have some negative side effects from always drooping her ears in her water bowl, but apparently the vet has never heard of that ever causing trouble for lops before, as long as she keeps them clean herself (which she does). The vet also said that, judging by the size of Sukka’s ears and giant baby feet, she’s shaping up to be a big girl… She was 2,5kg yesterday, and she’s only 13 weeks! Yikes.

That’d honestly be my last resort, and only after the water bowl caused problems – it’s so much easier to clean a bowl, it’s faster to change the water so I end up doing it more often (3x daily, at least), it encourages the bunny to drink more and it’s a far more natural way for the rabbit to get its water.
I do have one bought just in case I need it someday, but let’s hope it doesn’t come to that!
My vet did say that she’d never seen it cause any problems in lops, as long as they’re good groomers. -
She does sound like she’s going to be a big girl!
Gina-so glad everyone seems to be doing okay post-spay. I’m probably going to look into getting KitKat spayed this month. She’s SO cranky, so I’m hoping that will curb her attitude a little bit. She’s just over a year old, and OMG is she moody. She can go from flopping to growling in .03 seconds.

She was not very happy with me. I was attempted to feed salads separately in order to limit hers. She stared at me for a while like “do you really think I am going to eat without Rocky?!” Then she hid under the bed. *Sigh*…I let her out to eat with him!

LLH, love the floor pics…so cute!
CT, the Tilly tongue is too funny.I used my unplanned day off today to rearrange the room and get KitKat’s area straightened up. I got her cage moved into the corner, so she has her own space now, not just in the middle of the floor. I still plan on getting her a large dog crate to use instead of this cage, but it works for now. She’s never in there anyway, lol.
She likes to stretch out in front of the AC vent, haha

MissGabbster, Sindriona: Thanks! He will chew the tunnel up eventually, but he only pays attention to it if he’s got nothing better to do… I think he just doesn’t want us to think he actually enjoys something we bought for him.
BunsAndDolls: That seems to be what he’s thinking! He uses his litter box perfectly inside his cage but when he’s out, he refuses to poop anywhere but on the floor. I guess I should be thankful that it didn’t go down the air conditioning vent.
KitKat is so cute by the way! I love lops, I want one! Your piggies are adorable, as well. Do they make a lot of noise? The hubby had one years ago and ended up having to give it away, it wouldn’t stop squeaking and it drove him nuts.LLH: Bubbles must really want to visit you badly, he does this every day! You better get ready for a poopy visitor! I love all your pictures, Pumpkin and Rocky make the perfect couple! I hope his hair grows back quickly, poor thing.

To add to the craziness around my house; Nora developed a sore hock.
My vet thinks it’s because the Tans (and her) were on C&C cage flooring & she is just a bunny that cannot be on hard surfaces. So we moved her in with the fluffy/lop group. Here are a few photos from our bonding sessions so far:

Today I woke up crying with the worst sinus infection by far I’ve ever had- I brought honey lemon into bed with me for a little bit since I really just can’t sit up to watch her today and still wanted to let her get out of her pen some. It definitely turned into me taking pictures of her being cute, I need a bunch while she is still all little D:

Today was Meki’s 5th birthday!! I couldn’t go home to see her, apparently “rabbit’s birthday” isn’t a good enough excuse to ask off of work, but my mom sent updates about her birthday salad, binkying around the parakeet, and how she took a nice nap in front of the large bay window. She also wagged her tail when my mom told her I love her lol. I can’t believe that little butt is 5 already!

I’ve adopted these two through the RSPCA, they were both loose in the local neighborhood, and we caught them some weeks apart and the RSPCA asked if we could keep them (they thought that anyone bunny savy enough to catch to rabbits safely was recommendation enough, plus we are probably still on file from adopting a bunny through them in 2009)

Gina.Jenny – they definitely do look like they could be sisters…they’re both gorgeous girls.
I got most of KitKat’s stuff in this weekend and I’m SO excited to have her in a more permanent set up. I ordered her rug online and just got the notification that it’s ready to be picked up at Walmart, so yay! The new rug is prettier, and it’s wider, so it will actually cover most of the floor underneath. I will also be taking the pink bed out and replacing it with a blanket because she’s a digger and she’s already pulled half the stuffing out, lol.

Honey lemons new feeder came last weekend and I finally got a bigger litter box for her and one that works with it unlike her little corner litter box. She started using her house to jump out since it goes straight to her favorite dangerous spot under the couch. So I put her litter and food where the house was and the house against a wall corner and haven’t had any issues since! If we are gone I do still drape a heavy blanket over top and leave the front uncovered so she can still see out and get plenty sun and light and our small dogs sniff her through the gate curiously and she to them. She’s bonding with me more quickly than I’d expect and I get cheek kisses now:3

Love her setup!Look what the hubby got for me: The “Bug-A-Salt”. It shoots pinches of salt to kill house flies. I drives me nuts when one gets into the house and I end up chasing it all over the place. Not anymore!
I love it. Too bad there are no flies around right now…Lily: “What the heck is this thing?!”

She’s SO FLUFFY…she’s the first long haired bunny I’ve had, so all this grooming and crazy hair is new to me, lol. I was scared she’d be afraid of the tunnel because she’s so skittish, but she’s really been enjoying it. I’m almost done with her setup too…I got that rug from Walmart for a whole $20! I’m going to buy a long, skinny runner-type rug to put where that hideous green blanket is, so that thing isn’t on the floor anymore.
And, because it’s a photo thread…here’s my big, lazy boy. At any given moment, this is what he looks like.

@tori rose Thank you! It is two pens that I took the middle out of. Cincinnati is a big rabbit – he’s 7.5 lbs.
@Reeem Nothing like a carpenter, though he’s much more skilled at ‘sawing’ than anything else.
LOL @BunsAndDolls Thank you! I think that you, me and tori rose have the same pen. I also think that your rabbit and mine are the same color, or very close. I wish Cincinnati could have a tunnel like that – he eats all fabric!! He also eats cardboard in place of hay, so I have to limit his access to it.

She tried to help clean up….but just made it worse lol.

I was shocked when I heard rattling at the baby gate this evening. It was Wooly chewing on the baby gate. Wooly! So not like him! I tried shooing him away from the gate a couple of times, but he kept coming back. I decided to let them out in the living room for the first time in months. We had gotten some stuff put away recently (table not in the middle of the living room, etc) so I figured it would be okay. They were hopping around all over the place. LOL
Tried to get a picture while sitting on the floor as the hopped around. This was the best one I got.

I managed to get a cute video of Sukka cleaning herself while I was cleaning out her crate. (I listen to the Chicago soundtrack while cleaning, which is the reason for the interesting music choice in the background. ) -
My 3 little rex-rescues… We’ve put off naming them to help not get attached, but have been referring to them as Speedy (black), Cinnamon, and Big Sis (sable).. I’m sure we’ll end up with names for them before we find new homes for them.
Big sis has discovered the joy of head rubs…

I just looked through everyone’s photos. All the bunnies are adorable! & Honey Lemon’s photos are gorgeous. Pink is definitely her color
So, it would seem that the longer I have my bunnies, the more space they have & the less I get xD I wanted more space for them so my cousin built me a loft bed. The bunnies have pretty much the whole room now!
& Then I brought the bunnies in…
They actually haven’t been able to fully enjoy all the space just yet even though it’s been up for a few weeks now. But we just took in a stray kitten about 6 weeks old & I had to keep it in my room with the bunnies caged! (Would’ve caged the kitten but she cries non stop!)
Dropped her off at the Animal Defense League yesterday. Hopefully she gets a good home! But now the bunnies are caged in a playpen at someone else’s home in the bathroom since I’m dog sitting for a full week xD They’ll be so excited to get back home!

Speaking of…this is one CRANKY bunny. Loaded her up in the new carrier this morning and dropped her off at the vet for her spay. I haven’t heard anything yet, so I’m going to be nervous all day until they call.

Well willows so bouncy shes hard to picture lol, but my friend has said shes either hotot or english spot but only 9 weeks so still ickle ☺
She’s definitely a hotot, not an english spot. There are 2 types of hotot, blanc d’hotot and dwarf hotot, She looks more like a blanc d’hotot, but it will be hard to know for sure till she is fully grown and you can get an adult weight for her.
