Dog has fleas (AGH!), so I picked up some Revolution for the buns. I was going to put it on, but I then I hesitated. Since there has been some fur pulling going on, I’m worried about wet Revolution ending up in a bunny’s mouth. Is this something to worry about? I’m worried about putting it in the “normal” between the shoulder blades spot since this is close to where Wooly’s fur was pulled out. But there isn’t really anywhere else to put it because I thought the whole point was it was somewhere that they couldn’t reach easily.

It should be fine. You could seperate them for an hour or so whilst it dries. The dosage is small for buns.

That’s true. I could put one of them in the carrier for awhile while it dries.

It might work in your favour and deter the fur pulling for a while. It smells like rubbing alcohol which I think is the carrier for the selamectin.

                Yes, jerseygirl, it does! LOL

The vet said to split the vial between them, but I think she thought it was the kitten size (they had to call over the “recommendation” to another vet office since they didn’t have any). It was the cat size though, so I only used half of that and split it between them. That comes out to about right dosage-wise. Has anyone had any luck storing it in the refrigerator? I just saved the vial and put it back inside the blister packaging and put it in the (mini) fridge.

The 60 ml solution is cat revolution and the 120 ml is dog. I buy it in bulk ampules, put it in a vial with a stopper and measure it out with a 1 ml dosing syringe.

Roberta – Yep, I went by that. It was 60mg/ml and the cat size (so .75ml). Going off that chart, it’s about half of the vial for both buns. I just wanted to know if the other half that is leftover would keep in the fridge.

I don’t see why not. It probably doesn’t even need to be cold.

How’d you go putting it on Wooly with his long fur?

Jersey – You may be right. I figured since it had been opened that it would need to be chilled.

I just dug down to his thin spot on the back of his neck. He’s got that angora pattern, you know. His thin spot did fill in as he got older, but it is still thinner than the rest of him. I didn’t want to put it on his bald spot (where fur had been pulled out) since I was afraid wet Revolution was going to end up in someone’s mouth. They seemed to leave each others’ Revolution spots alone though.
