How old is your bunny? If she is a baby you should contact a vet.
If she’s adult, the problem may come from a too rich diet (too many pellets, too many treats) or some greens she is sensitive to.
You can do a butt-bath to get rid of the sticky poop. Dry her with a towel after. Then change her diet so she eats more hay. Hay is the most important thing for a healthy bunny stomach.

We think shes about 8 months but were not sure, i feed her around 4 tablespoons of pellets and mostly lettuce.

8 months is young but not baby-young, that’s good I suggest you cut back a little on either the pellets or the lettuce and try to entice her to eat more hay. You could of course cut back both on pellets and lettuce, but then you won’t know which is the culprit, if this is a dietary issue (as it most often is if it’s just about sticky cecals).

What kind of lettuce are you feeding her? That could be the issue. Some kinds are okay and some aren’t.

I read somewhere that till she gets the normal cecals i should just put her on hay. Is that okay or will she be starving ?

                    I feed her romaine lettuce.

Romaine is bunny safe, but different bunnies have different tummies. I for example has bunny who can’t have carrots or he gets sticky poop.

I would give her pellets as well as hay. My rabbit doesn’t get veg unless it’s a treat as it upsets her stomach. I’ve tried lots of different kinds with no results and we were also encountering quite a few urinal infections. I took my bunny to the vet and the vet told me that as long as she was on a good quality pellet (Excel) and hay then it would be better for her in the long run. It would probably be best to ask your vet though. Hope you get it sorted!

Shes been on veggies since 2 months i know its a very young age to start veggies but when we found her we knew nothing about rabbits and we couldn’t leave her there because our area had lots of cats. I use the beaphar care+ mixed with the zupreem timothy pellets.

You could try that and see if she clears up at all
