I’ve read that air freshners can be harmful for rabbits to inhale but we live in a teenie studio flat and between the rabbit, the windowless bathroom, the kitchen being open plan with the bedroom and the restrictors on the window the flat can get stuffy and sometimes develops an odd smell.

Pre-rabbit we used airwick air freshner, so I was wondering if there was a rabbit safe alternative. Extra bonus if it’s avaiable in the UK without huge shipping costs.

I’m in a ground floor flat in the UK, 1 tiny bathroom a kitchen that is more of a joke than anything small living room and bedroom, the hallway is much bigger than anywhere else in the room, what I use is orange peel lemon juice (Lemon juice as in that Jiffy stuff) I have grown mint plants which smell nice, if you like mint, problem here are my trainers and shoes, I used to walk in and smell shoes, well feet, so I put dry mint tea bags in my shoes, slippers and trainers, if you like mint you can put mint tea bags around the place, if you like making things you could decorate them, you can get them cheap in Pounland or the 99p store.

I’m actually glad this has shown up, I’ve been wondering about something similar. We use a “pet safe” carpet deodorizer. It’s Arm & Hammer. Is it really pet safe? It’s one of those vacuum powders.

              Make orange pomanders.

Or, stab a lemon with a fork repeatedly and microwave it everyday. Or, steep crushed mint leaves in a bowl of warm water.
