I’ve worked out Olly must have been born in July, I don’t know how but its what the Vet thinks too, we don’t know what date of course, because he is a rescue, he will be having a little tea party 2nd week in July, I’ve seen some nice rabbit houses with carrot flavouring on top, I thought I could take off the plastic wrapping and wrap it in newspaper or something, but when I saw them they are made with tiny bits of grass and hay, Olly has problems with sneezing with some hay and grass, does anyone know what else he could have? He is also allergic to sawdust, after what he’s been through with his ex owners he deserves a little something, he does like Bull rush balls, they don’t last long, but he loves them and has no problems with those.

If you are wondering about toys in general, I would check out willow branch toys. The BB sells them, and they are wonderful! My rabbits love them, and they are much fresher/better quality from BB than what you would find in the store. You could also look into some wooden toss toys. Both of these make very little dust, if any, and can last a while if your bun doesn’t scarf them down like mine do. I have had buns that just like to casually chew on these toys and carry them around, so you never know what they will do.

I also like to get card board boxes from the Home Depot because they can last a while and are pretty inexpensive. You could make a hidey hut for Olly with one and toss a few willow toys in it for good measure.

Good luck and Happy Birthday Olly!

Does he have a cat-tunnel? My bunnies love their cat-tunnels. They are collapsible and about 4 feet long when expanded. Yohio also have a cardboard concrete cylinder mould for a tunnel.

He has cardboard boxes, they last about 10-15 minutes, which cat tunnels are these Bam? Not the thin material ones are they?

If Olly is a chewer, then he’s probably chew up a cat-tunnel. The one I have is a bit sturdier than the really flimsy-material ones, but still no match for a set of determined bunny teeth. I’d suggest a concrete form tube instead, then. They are made of very sturdy cardboard made to withstand wet concrete and you can get them at hardware stores or wherever you buy building-supplies. They are cheap and bunny safe. Make sure you get the cheapest kind that isn’t lined with sth water-resistant, just made of plain brown cardboard, no print on it. It’s much thicker and harder than cardborad normally used for boxes.

I’ve cut out a hole in the middle of mine like cat-tunnels often have. It’s not really necessary though, bunnies seems to have an innate liking for tunnels. Mine use theirs for hiding but most often just for running through, they often take extra tours of their rooms just to run through their tunnels a couple of times.
