Can Giant Bunnies get really aggressive, like bite and scratch their owners, can they also destroy your home more than a a normal sized bunny, I have seen bites and scratches on images on Google of injuries caused by giants but I think they have used Photo-shop or something to make the bites look deep, or they tried to catch a wild rabbit, Nia who I had 20 years ago was very big but never bit or scratched, well she scratched once when her claws needed cutting because they were too long and I picked her up, so I was just wondering because giants are bigger, does it hurt more if they bite or scratch? I’m not thinking of getting a giant, I have Olly and I tell him he is my little giant.

If a big rabbit is aggressive, it can cause damage. I know a man who has a big scar on his forearm from a bite from a Flemish.

But generally, big rabbits are not aggressive. It wouldn’t make sense to breed the aggressive ones, since a huge rabbit with a bad temper would be very, very impractical for people to deal with. So I think sedate big bunnies have been artificially selected (bred) for.

These are just my thoughts, though. But I’d think you’d hear more about people getting hurt by rabbits if the huge breeds were prone to violence.

I think any rabbit hurts if it bites or scratches no matter the size – my Netherland who is 1.5 pounds hurts me if he accidentally bites me and its never on purpose.

All the Flemish Giants I have met have been gentle giants.
