me: in the spare spare bedroom and downstairs with me when Im home

        OH: Can’t it be outside

ME:  NO! Rabbits can’t survive in this heat, and the dogs are inside, no, just no, always no, never.

OH: But it can eat the grass for us

ME: sure I will take him outside to eat the grass for us….also 1 rabbit can’t eat that much grass unless you would like an entire herd of rabbits…..

        OH: ………..

“Which bunny would you like to surrender today? Pick one”—and he’s always kidding, he loves them as much as I do, he just likes to antagonize me!!

He also says we aren’t getting a dog until we get rid of a bunny. We are so getting a dog. And we are so keeping both bunnies!!

My bf is actually supportive of my bunny! “How would you like to build the new hay rack?” He will give me all sorts of suggestions. He is slowly but surely becoming rabbit savvy. Although the other day he almost bought my rabbit some corn cobs that you put into the microwave to pop -__- I had to explain that corn isn’t good for bunny

LLH – hahah! You sound like me!

Emm – My partner is pretty awesome and supportive (the only reason I was able to start my own business was because of all his support and ongoing support) – he loves my (now our) dogs, I am sure he will come around and be more involved once he realises how cool rabbits are.

My boyfriend talks about “our son” all the time. He loves our bunny! Some of the stuff he says is:
“Our son (bunny) is so manly”
                              “He has your eyes”
                              “He is just like you!”

“What if he had cat ears?” (and he had me Photoshop cat ears and a cat nose on a picture of him…lol. He now wants me to give him cat eyes…)

“He LOOOOVES Batman. He watches Batman all the time.”
                              “Is he eavesdropping on us?”
“Look at him! LOOK at him!!”
                              “He has little manly hands.”

I don’t know where he comes up with this stuff, but it’s hilarious!

He sees our bunny a lot less than I do because his cage is in my computer room, but he seems to think about him a lot more than I do. Lol

I don’t have a other half now, I’m a Widow, My carer likes to think he knows everything about rabbits, my carer will be chopping veg for me and come in with something for Olly, it goes a bit like this.

                                          Me: What’cha got man?
                                          Carer: Spring onion.
Me: Olly doesn’t eat that, its not for rabbits.
Carer: They all eat it they love it, Oh he doesn’t want it, strange all rabbits love it.
                                          Me: Told ya.
Carer: He’s pushed it back out through his bars, do you think he would like some cheese?
Me: And a glass of whiskey, a biscuit and a smoking pipe? N. O. Spells no, they don’t eat cheese, look at this sheet of paper, where there is a smiling rabbit that food they can have, the sad rabbit means not for rabbits.
                                          Carer: I don’t understand this.

Sometimes I feel like I’m the carer.

The other day I was commenting on how happy I was to finally have found a hay that Bramble really seems to like. I was saying how he was such a fussy eater and the other half turned round and said ‘you know he gets that from you, right’

On the one hand I cant argue because I am a really fussy eater, but I very much doubt that’s why Bramble is fussy, he is not actually my child after all.

Shannon- I believe animals can have their caretaker’s personality. I see a lot of me in Fuji. She is hyper and can’t sit still but if you do the silliest thing to upset her, she goes off into a corner and pouts until you give her treats. I’m very much like that lol
