Toffee has been neutered for exactly six weeks now, and though his humping and peeing on me have decreased from constantly doing it pre-neutering, he will still pee on me 1) after I’ve been away for a while (sleeping, working, whatever) and 2) whenever I enter the kitchen. He will literally spring up from a flop and come running over to pee on me, even if he’s a room away. And he doesn’t just pee once; the whole time I’m in the kitchen he will circle past me, peeing on the floor and also flicking his butt so it lands on me. He doesn’t have this problem with anyone else in the house, for whom he has perfect litter habits (for his pee anyway; still poops everywhere). It seems he’s still somewhat aroused by my presence: his tail raises when I pet him. He was really sick for a week two weeks after his neutering, and he’s still on Baytril and Panacur till Monday. Would that have delayed his hormones’ decreasing? Or what should I do to correct his behavior? I’m spending more time mopping up after him than studying for quals.

Hi, how old was he when he was neutered? Sometimes if not done soon enough, the hormonal/territorial behaviors will be ingrained and really difficult to curb. (Don’t panic yet though; forum members can offer advice to help…)

The good news is this means he loves you. He wants everyone to know you belong to only him.

          Beautiful bun, btw.

EDIT: I just read some of your other threads and saw he was neutered between 8 months to 1 year. I do believe the late neuter is the explanation behind these persistent behaviors. Hopefully some more experienced members in with this issue can chime in. I’ll see what I can remember or come up with in the meantime and check back later…
