So I have noticed an abundance of Mini Lops in my area. Tenzin is a Holland lop ( 3 lbs 8 ounces) , I will be looking for a buddy for him after the neuter and once his taming is where I need it to be.

Would it be harmful in any way if I did get a Mini lop? I had only considered rabbits in the 3-4 lb range.

Ok so where you live (sorry a tad off topic here)….are Holland Lops smaller than Mini Lops? Because here in Australia Mini Lops weigh around 1.5-1.8 kgs full grown (so around 3.8 pounds) and dwarf lops weigh around 2.5 kgs (5 ish pounds).

So your Holland Lop = our Mini Lop
And your Mini Lop = our Dwarf Lop

Anyways, I wouldn’t think a pound or two difference would be a big deal, so long as the buns were bonded properly….

Hollands are smaller than minis in the US.

Hollands are 3- 4 lbs here and I believe minis are 4-6

I’m confused! You want to rehome Monty and then get another bunny to bond with Tenzin? Why not try to bond Tenzin and Monty?

I want a second down the road after Tenzin is neutered and bonded. and Monty isn’t really working out here anyway. I posted about it in the lounge. I took on too much at once. I am looking at another rabbit 3-4 months down the road. Two now just is a no go.
