I was thinking of switching up Brier’s condo and I’d love to see yours! His is four wide, two deep, and three high with two levels for him to jump up on. The flooring is a thick mat for exercise equipment and works great because it’s waterproof and antibacterial. It was covered with fleece when I first put it together, but Brier decided it looked delicious.

Am I the only one still using condos or has everyone converted to rabbit rooms? I can’t trust Brier to not eat my carpet, haha!

I like your codo! I always wanted to build one but I do have a rabbit room. I was lazy in the past and just bought 2 really big cages and put them together for each of my rabbits before they lived together. So somewhere in my attic is 4 unused rabbit cages. hehe

I wanted to do a condo because my rabbit chews baseboards. Unfortunately, I cannot find those dang metal grids anywhere! And I don’t like buying stuff online haha! So my room is shared with my rabbit, although I am really regretting it. When I finally get my own place, I’m going to get Fuji her own room.

I got mine at Kmart! I’d love for Brier to have his own room eventually, but the place I’m moving into in the next month or two is a studio apartment type thing, so it looks like we’ll still be sharing.

good luck and have fun! I don’t know if your rabbit can be loud if he feels like he can’t get into something like mine. I had to block off the underside of by bed with some NIC cubes (I purchased a set a few years before I brought home Fuji thinking it would come in handy later, which it did) and now she thinks she will be able to have access underneath if she chews on it at 6 am. Well she is sadly mistaking.

You can get those grids at Walmart (if your store doesn’t carry them, you can buy online and ship free to store) or at Sears! I have used them for years and I just attach with zip ties. I have also picked some up at thrift stores.

I am redoing my cage right now, too. My cage currently is three levels. I used the grids, but first, I cut “bunny” doors using wire cutters (I have a house kitty, too, so it is a spot JUST for my bunny that the cat can’t get into). The way I am setting it up now will have a little area in the back for his bed and supplies (kind of like a backyard). I did have to use some cheap plastic placemats to cover some of the grates so my cat wouldn’t reach inside. With this setup, Barnaby bunny has his own condo, backyard, but can hang out with me and my cat Loki when he wants. He still enjoys sleeping on my bed with me.

One thing you can do that she’ll likely appreciate is having the cage be her area. With Barnaby, unless I am cleaning his litterbox or feeding him, I don’t invade his space. In return, he doesn’t poop in mine, haha.
