I have stopped Olly going under my bed, but now he has found a new game, ‘Jump onto my bed.’ Olly is difficult to pick up, so I make him get down himself, keeping an eye on him, my bed is 16 inches off the floor, I know when he does his Binky jumps he can jump a little higher, but I’m worried about him getting on my bed when I’m not looking and him jumping off and hurting himself, he doesn’t tinkle or anything on the bed, just sniffs everything, but its the jumping down that worries me, if it is safe for him to jump down 16 inches, I’ll leave him, but if its not I’ll have to find a way to stop him, I know rabbits jump about and climb in the wild and I don’t intend to stop him from doing what wild rabbits do, but its just the height of my bed that worries me.

Hi, I am no expert and have only just joined on here but my rabbit jumps on and off my sofa and bed constantly and he is fine, he has never hurt himself doing this so I wouldn’t worry about it.

My sofa is 18 inches high and my bed is 25 inches.

          hope this Helped.

Thanks Noddy’s person, I did contact the pet store for advice, they told me that its like a cat, they get up they can get down, but now I have to block the other side of the bed, wires + bunny= Not good.

16 inches really isn’t that high. I’ve sure he will be fine as long as the surface he is jumping down to isn’t slippery. If you’re worried, you could put something next to the bed that could act as a step.

I’m sure he will be okay if his antics do start to frighten you a bit more, I would suggest maybe getting a cat climbing tower and modifying it to fit your bunny, that’s what I did. He may also want to play with something, or isn’t getting enough exercise, try giving him some cat toys such as the little balls with the jingles in them, my bunny Willow can’t seem to get enough of those little suckers

Young rabbits like to jump because they are active and well they want to explore. Mine almost gave me a heart attack because I found my bunny Peanut on top of her cage. She has one space open and the other has a roof.

The solution was actually funny for me. I made her some jumping boxes attached to her cage and she would jump up and down the cardboard box. The box has a fleece blanket and hay so she is safe. That actually also solve her hyper active jumping since she likes the boxes she just jumps only in that area and not on my bed anymore lols.
