Monica is my 6 month old Polish bunny. She was just spayed almost 3 weeks ago and is doing amazing now. However, tonight she fell and hit her head on her cage, causing a small brush burn like scratch on her face just above her nose. Some fur came out, but she seems fine and is acting normal. I’m just wondering what I can do for her tonight? She seems comfortable and I put a cold compress (cold water) on her face. She seemed to enjoy it and didn’t push away like I expected. I plan to take her to the doctor as soon as possible tomorrow just to be sure she is okay. Any suggestions?

Oh, no – I think what you are doing is just fine. I hope she will be okay.

The doctor said to use Bacitracin on the wound 3 times a day so that’s what I am doing. She is fine though. So happy like she normally is so that makes me less worried.

You did right to talk to the vet, bumps and scratches look tiny to us but they are really big to a bunny.
