Tenzin has been giving a couple sneezes a day … never many and its actually more like when you blow air through your nose because something got up there than a real sneeze but being a new bunny momma I am still learning whats normal and whats not.

He has no mucus and other than his not eating his hay ( which is an ongoing issue) he is acting perfectly normal.

It is hard to say what these sneezes could be. But It is most likely an allergy or dusty hay.

But if you see this continuing/getting worse and starts to be accompanied by any discharge around the nose/eyes have a vet check him out. Because that could be Pasteurella. But I wouldn’t worry too much unless there’s discharge or the sneezing gets worse, often times accompanied by a coughing/hacking noise in that case.

He has an intake with the vet soon so I will ask about it.

Its usually only one “sneeze” at a time. I know when its my allergies … Or my dogs, we tend to sneeze multiple times in a row.

I wouldn’t worry too much unless the sneezing is constant and/or you see mucus/discharge.

Thanks I haven’t seen him sneeze at all today so its very possible its just allergens … As I have noticed the dogs and my own allergies are not as bad today.

Well now he isn’t sneezing at all but today he had a wet nose. Not like discharge … his whole nose is wet. I kind of wonder if he didn’t accidentally stick it in his water bowl.

Sometimes bunnies have a dampness to their nose. But if his whole nose (fur on top, etc.) is wet then it’s either water or something more concerning. At any rate, doesn’t sound like it’s serious enough where you would need to take him to the vet sooner than planned.

Do keep an eye on it though. I often worry because I have been dealing with Wooly and his on/off sneezing. The underlying problem is likely tooth root related though. My point is, sneezing can be caused by numerous things from simple allergies/irritation to infections to tooth problems. So it’s best to ask the vet about it when you go, just to be sure.

I haven’t seen him sneeze in a few days now. so hopefully its just from his water bowl … or the dog lol. Those two are weird. Tenzin sticks his nose through the bars and the dog licks him.

I hadn’t even thought about it possibly being from my dog.

Anything is possible. I remember Wooly kept getting their weird cowlicks and it turned out Leopold was sucking on his fur. o_O

His whole nose is still wet looking and he wont let me touch it !! I did just switch beddings in their litter box though it could easily be that.
