I have a white frame bed and when I let him out he goes under there and goes to sleep, I know he is safe but I’m the sort of person who likes him in sight, same with children, even the kids who play from upstairs when they ask to go in the garden I tell them they can play in the garden as long as they are near the windows where I can see them and the eldest kid locks the gate, there are boxes Olly hides in which are all over the room, I find it almost impossible to catch him and have been advised by a vet to put him back on his relaxation medicine to help calm him down so he might let me pick him up, but at the moment I just don’t want him under my bed, I tried old pillows duvets etc,but he will push them or move them out, I know you maybe thinking ‘Medication to calm him down?’ The vet gave me this because when I got him he would not let me touch him, this is because the people who had him before hurt hurt him and threw shoes at his cage, does anyone know a way to stop him? I cannot put him in another room because a friend is in my lounge with all his computers and wires and tool kits.

I would suggest making a sort of enclosure around the bed using nic grids. If you get them close enough to the frame it should keep him out!

Good idea, I’ve just seen some, payday is over a week away and I’ll get some, might even build a bunny proof wardrobe with some and turn it round and use some to protect my PC wires so I can move these cushions from the back of my desk, good idea love well done.

Yes, the only way is to block it off. Bobby goes under my bed all the time – he loves it there.

I built this around a bed with NIC grids and used zip ties to connect them. It worked perfectly. I then put the bed skirt on the bed and you could barely see the grids. I hope this gives you an idea!

That, Sindriona is a fantastic idea, I could do that and round the back of my desk too, better than sticking pillows down the sides and duvets.

Cheaper option- go to walmart ask for a bunch of free cardboard boxes and place those around the bed. Lilith loves this move than being blocked (plus she pulls the grids down anyway).

Well I spent hours making an enclosure just till I get paid, working, its old clothes boxes bits of cardboard video boxes and a square plastic plant pot, he came out at tea time looked around saw the not so amazing enclosure, ran around doing binkies and jumped in his cage, then pulled his cage door in and gone to bed, so I put the clips on and covered him up.
