I think it would be a good idea to have your bunny checked over at the vet.
Just wondering why your friend would allow her children to treat an animal that way. It might be best in the future to board your bunny at the vet if you have to go away.

OMG! That parent needs a good smack on the backside! Along with parenting classes! To teach their children you don’t treat any animal (or another person) that way. I am mortified!!!
My concern not only extends to broken bones or bruises BUT the fright your bunny would have got being treated so poorly – I can’t imagine your bunny ever being the same? I pick my bunny up (rarely) for a cuddle and he won’t let me touch or pet him for hours/days – if he was thrown around in the air and picked up by the tail or ears I think he would never forgive me (if he survived it?) and not be the wonderful pet bunny that he is.

I’m SORRY your friend let you down and treated you and your pet so disrespectfully like a piece of unloved trash or a toy. And hope you never have to leave your bunny with that person ever again (please don’t). If it was me? Yes, I would take my bunny to the vet for a check up – not just physically, but fear and stress can cause bunny health issue’s too like not eating and being to afraid to come out and play and being physical which we all know is good for any living being’s health.

Again, I am so sorry that your bunny had to endure being treated so poorly – I imagine you must be a wreck and so upset. At least you found out and can make sure this never happens again. IF and when you can hug your bunny, give it one from me too – if only it was that simple to make it all better…. Take care – both of you.

If the bunny in question was either Puck or Harry, I’d be taking them to the vet – as AndHenry said, not just for physical injuries, but to check for any stress-related problems; as I’m sure you’re aware, they tend to try to hide problems. Frankly, if your bunny does need treatment, this “friend” should be the one to pay for it, because no rational person should allow their children to handle any animal like that.

Dont take this wrong … But that person would no longer be my friend … To treat something I love that way shows how much they care for me as well.

I would take him to the vet for a basic exam. Though after all that I wish you luck getting him in a carrier.

If it was one of my friends or even one of my fiancee’s friends that had done this act, they would not be a friend anymore and they would be paying for the cost of the vet visit and whatever treatment that the bun had to go through. (sorry my blood is boiling at reading something like this, I was raised to respect animals not treat them like they are expendable with their lives.)

I do however like everyone else wish you the luck of trying to get your bun into a carrier so that you can visit a vet. I am also sorry that it happened and the probably traumatized bun does need a vet visit.

Troll? I would normally let a post like this upset me, but thanks to MD talking me through it and getting the gist of how some forums work now, I refuse to shed a tear till it is proven genuine. I only have so many tears and I need to save and share them out when necessary! I wouldn’t worry to much LawBun, I doubt we will hear from justblazzin8 again???

The giveaway??? If you were that concerned, wouldn’t you be back in the next few days of your one and ONLY post to seek the answers to your question/concern? Nup! He/she is full of $*&!! Ignore it!

Not sure if anyone hit the alert button, but I will, so this username can’t post here again. If you are a troll? It didn’t work! How stupid could you be to even use the word friend letting your pet being thrown around – when I replied to you above, I took the chance you were being serious, but NOPE!
