what is everyone’s opinion on liquid vitamin drop additives to bunny water?
any experience? picked up a bottle of it from a local petsmart while doing our bunny grocery order.
it doesn’t have calcium, which is good.
        anybunny?

Don’t need them and they alter the taste of water so I would not get them. Your rabbit will get all the vitamins they need for their diet. It’s just another marketing thing from the pet store and manufacturer of the product.

My bunny drinks vitamins because the vet said she is under weight? She is around 1.5 kg and she is 3 months old. I don’t mix the vitamins with her water. I just put it in a syringe and she would drink from that. I control the consumption so she won’t choke because she likes the vitamins taste.

Troubledbunnymom I don’t think your rabbit is underweight for 3 months….did the vet tell you this? You have a lionhead it looks like and they are small rabbits.

Troubledbunnymom I just read your bunny is an angora and I still don’t believe she is underweight at three months. They aren’t really super large rabbits either – they just look like it when full grown because they are all fur.

Really? I have an English Angora. I don’t really think she is under weight, but my vet was concerned that she was underweight and gave me the vitamins. Here is the vitamin it’s called Papi Multivitamins.

I cannot imagine that a vitamin is going to help her gain any weight anyway. I think she sounds like she is at a fine weight at 3 months. You have her on unlimited pellets don’t you?

Yeah I think her weight is okay, but the vet was adamant with the vitamins. I don’t have her in an unlimited pellets, but she has unlimited hay.

At this age she should be on unlimited pellets….how much pellets do you think she eats per day?  Are you measuring them out?

1/8 only for her to eat pellets then she eats hay most of the day and night. I’m slowly giving her some romaine lettuce at night about 3 inches only because I’m afraid she will have tummy problems. So far it’s already her third day eating the veggie and she seems fine. Her poops are all normal and her pee is normal.
