How is he worse? It can take awhile for the medication to start working and for you to see improvement.

He just lays there he is eating and drinking, but whenever he tries to move he spins around and flips and flops. I picked him up to give him his medicine and when I put him down he was very confused. I thought cuddling him would help but i guess I was wrong.

I don’t know if you saw this thread, but MimzMum gave a ton of advice to another member that you might find helpful.

How do you have things set up? I’m thinking he will feel a little more secure if you make some bumpers for him with towels or blankets.

I moved him to a smaller cage but he hates blankets and pillows so that didn’t work well for him he just went under them and under the blanket. I have a sheet in the bottom of the cage that is acting like a bumper hes on the bottom of the cage and the sheet is next to him and his food bowl has become his favorite thing as long as his head is in his bowl he seems content. Hes pretty much staying on the one side where his food and water is. the cage is about 4 feet by 2 feet. Im going back to the vet tomorrow to see about some of the meds that MimzMum was talking about.

Yes, it definitely doesn’t hurt to ask about additional medications.

Is he warm? Perhaps he would like something cool (but not too cold) next to him. It might be part of why he likes his bowl. It might feel good. You don’t want him to become chilled though and can’t move. Hmm…

I don’t think hes warm at least its not warm in here would he be warm anyway? I think he likes it because it holds his head up a bit.

That’s true. I was just thinking that when a person has an ear infection, it actually feels good to lay your head on something cool. But he probably does like it for stability too.
