Last Thursday (5-14-15), we found wild baby rabbits outside our home in a nest underground. I’ve been visiting them and researching if they’d be alright and have seen their mother visit them and give them milk and such. I’m a little worried because it’ll be raining today and I was wondering should I give it a more sheltered nest (put more leaves over it) so the water doesn’t lower their temperature? I don’t want to put a cardboard box around it because I’m afraid that the mother would be scared of it. I’d love to hear any advice and thank you!

Best to just leave it be. Mummy buns are clever and she will probably back fill the entrance to block the rain.

That’s so nice you are concerned – thank you for caring about them. Roberta is right though, mom bun is very clever and will make sure her babies are alright.
