So, ever since about Saturday, I’ve noticed my rabbit acting pretty much normally, except he started to eat a little bit less. Usually, in the morning since I feed him at night, his bowl wood be empty, but now is bowl is maybe 1/2 or 3/4 eaten. He also seems to be chewing slowly. And sometimes he will get so mad that he is chewing so slowly (I can’t tell if it’s pain?) that he’ll just drop the pellet and just move on to the hay. I cannot take him to the vet until I get my income tax, which should be Tuesday or Thursday.

Sounds like there might be something going on in his mouth, maybe with a tooth or something. Worth getting it checked out. I would hate for it to lead to GI Stasis. As long as he is eating and drinking normall and is pooping and peeing normally, I would say that Tuesday or Thursday would be fine.

He could have spurs on his teeth or another tooth problem. Definitely have it checked out. Any changes in eating habits are cause for concern. Poor thing. Keep an eye on his food intake and pooping. I worry that if it is a spur, an injury to the tongue or cheek will continue to worsen because the sharp edge is constantly poking it or scraping it. So the sooner he can be seen, the better. However, this is probably something that has been going on for awhile so hopefully a few more days won’t hurt.

Definitely sounds like a dental issue. Molar spurs can cause painful sores and abcesses in the mouth.
