        Hello!

I noticed this topic has been posted before, but in the past without definite answers.

We have a 3 year old netherland dwarf, and are planning to move from the US to Paris this September, with a possibility of moving to London after that in January. I have a few questions…

        1) What has your experience been like flying with your rabbit?
We will only bring him if he can be a carry on (still sorting that out). My concern is that the trip will be too stressful on him, and I’m wondering if things like the air pressure change can be painful.

        2) From what I’ve gathered thus far, rabbits do not have the same restrictions as dogs and cats, and do not have to be quarantined between the US and France. However, I read that rabbits coming from non EU countries into England DO. I’m wondering if anyone here knows if a rabbit originally from the US but legally in France has to be quarantined, since technically he would be coming from an EU country.

I would love to hear from anyone who has moved their pet internationally! Unfortunately we don’t know how long we will be international. There’s a chance we might only be overseas for 6 months, then return to the US depending on our jobs.

        Thank you!!!

First, I don’t have experience in traveling internationally with our rabbits, but I do know someone who may be helpful in that department. Call Dr. Harris at Wasatch Exotic Vet in Salt Lake City, Ut. She has prepped animals for all sorts of international travel before, so she would probably know the answers to your questions, and if not then she would know who you can contact.

          Good luck! Her number is
