I’ve had Olly for 2 weeks now, he won’t let me pick him up, fair enough, but now today he won’t let me stroke him, he is now biting, he is neutered. (Last month.) Tonight he got really naughty knocked his food bowl out of my hand and I had a glove on because he is biting and tried to pull it off, (Maybe the glove scared him.) I panicked and called the vets, all they say is its hormones, but there have been a couple of things the last few days, I have Psoriasis and been washing and using Aveeno which is made from oats, hmm bunny likes oats, the other thing is he has been in his cage for a couple of days, not as a punishment, I’d never do that, but because there is some broken glass on my floor and my hoover is broken until the morning, he is eating and drinking as normal but tonight’s monster strike he was like a very angry cat, I managed to close his cage and talk to him but it has upset me a bit, I covered him up said the usual “Good night Olly see you in the morning.” Thing and pretended it never happened.

        can someone help please?

Is there anything they can give him at the vets to calm him down if it is hormones and he is neutered?

Okay so first question – how did you come up with the name Oily LOL.  Okay, I see it’s Olly not Oily – I think I need new glasses…

It is definitely hormones and if you are getting in his “space” while he is there that can be another issue. If you can clean, feed, etc…when he is not in there that is a good idea.

I imagine that there is not much you can do until you can allow him out of his cage…and there is nothing the vet can give him either…it is just going to take time.

If he was only neutered last month things might still be settling down. They say 4-6 weeks but my experience with Bramble was a little longer before he calmed down.

Good news, the vet gave him something to have in his food twice a day he is calmer now.
