Hello,me and my girlfriend recently got our first bunny, she’s a Netherlands dwarf. We have had her for about 1 week and now she is 4 weeks old so here are my questions When we got her we had her only in her cage (25x45x30) and after 2 days i let her roam only in my room..at first she was scared and sometimes bit me..but now she is used to us and she licks me all the time..but even when i try to pet her she tries to lick my hand and its like she’s avoiding petting(even though when i do pet her she just stays still),is that a good thing? Also since the cage is somewhat small how can we do the whole litter box thing? cause now we let her roam almost all day and put her in her cage for the night and she poops everywhere in my room.Final question..we have been feeding her one bowl of pellets per day(the bowl is 7x7x3 (yes i’m and engineer )) and since yesterday we have introduced her to alfalfa hay…and her poops have been different from the small ones she had us used..they are like mini human poops..is that normal?

Thanks in advance for the help

I’ll attach a photo of her below

She’s only 4 weeks old? Where did you get her? Bunnies are not ready to leave their Mom until they are 8 weeks old.

No worries – she’s a cutie. I would try to encourage her for litter training but she’s pretty young so don’t expect alot.

Yes, licking is a sign that she likes you.
