I swear you turn your back on them for one second and they’re making mischief. I turned around to my bunny with his head in my bag of kettle sour cream and onion potato chips. It didnt sound to me like he got one but he might’ve gotten some of the flavor coating as it was all over his face….anything I can give him to help it flush out of his system? I plan on keeping watch and giving him plenty of water and hay of course. Anybody have anything similar happen??

I wouldn’t worry. While potato chips aren’t good for bunnies, I don’t think a chip or two will kill them.

I wouldn’t worry. My bunny Bam once ate half a pork-rind before I was on to him. Gross, but he lived. I guess he thought “If the dog can eat kale, I can eat pork-rinds”. Or maybe he didn’t think at all, which is the more probable.

Haha. Silly bunny. Mine’s gotten into tea (with milk and honey). She’s so obsessed with tea, I’ve started occasionally giving her “tea” which is just water with a bit of fruit in a tea mug so she’ll leave mine alone.

Your bun will be fine. Just keep doing what you’re doing (water and hay) and he’ll be fine.

He’s such a menace sometimes. You cant eat potato chips around him because he will climb in the bag. He just loves potato chips Weird rabbit. He’s doing fine, I just worried because these chips had dried onions in them which I’ve read are toxic for bunnies.

What a stinker. My hubby and I have movie night once a week and we always eat chips. If Olivia comes out in the morning before I vacuum she sniffs out any crumbs and eats them. Her favorite are Tostitos.

I literally sneak my chips into bed and open them ever so quietly…. and Henry jumps on my chest! Do NOT tell anyone on BB (they have already gone crook at me!) but I have been known to give Henry a chippie or 2 – oooop’s! Naughty bunny – getting ME in to trouble!

PS – Henry has eaten worse…. and NO! You don’t want to know.

                      PPS – LOL Roberta!!!

Tilly, our oh so regal looking lady, is a complete piggy when it comes to food. She loves when the hubby watches TV because he usually has Pringles, and she climbs up on his chest and tries to steal them from his mouth until he gives in and gives her part of a chip or two.. She also wants cheerios, and canned cat food, and peas, and green beans, and bread, and cookies… and basically anything she’s ever seen someone else eat. lol When she lived with her first family she would get bits of poptart and pancake from the kids, and she always got into chip bags. Naughty girl.

So far the worst thing she’s eaten (that has been noticed) is she devoured most of Zoeys rubber bouncy ball! What was left I initially thought was a small bit of carrot until I picked it up. Zoey was not amused. And apparently Tilly has a goat belly, because it didn’t disrupt her belly or poops in the least!

                          EDIT: Double Post.

Since there was a double post; I should note that Pete is a bit pickier about “his” cat food, and will only eat the dry stuff. lol

Ha! I’m so glad I’m not the only person this sort of thing has happened to. One time, I left a box of chocolates open on the coffee table. Gadget must have pulled it down with her teeth. I came back in the room to find the tray on the floor, chocolates everywhere, and Gadget most of the way though a chocolate-covered caramel. I watched her closely for the next day, but fortunately she didn’t seem to suffer any ill effects and I learned an important lesson about putting the chocolates on the kitchen counter.

Ah! I wasn’t even thinking about the onion haha.

There’s probably very little actual onion on the chips and even if there were, Pom at 3 tulips (another toxic bulb) and was fine. I, on the other hand, nearly had a heart attack, but she was too busy trying to get more flowers out of me to care.

There was a bag of lettuce RIGHT next to the flowers too. Really? She’s just obsessed with things she’s not supposed to have.
