        Hello all,

I have had my bun for a month or so now and took him to the vet today for a neutering pre-op. Unfortunately the vet found that he has an irregular heartbeat and don’t recommend him being castrated. I had wanted to have him neutered so I can get him a female friend with a view to bond them eventually. Now, this has thrown a spanner in the works! I’m worried Milo may be lonely if I don’t get him a buddy, but don’t want to risk pairing him with another bun if he isn’t neutered. Any advice for this situation?

What is your daily routine? How much time does he get to spend with you. It’s possible he’s perfect alright on his own.

If he shows signs of loneliness, I’d contact BudgetBunny from YouTube. Her male, Olly, isn’t neutered due to a heart murmur but is bonded with a spayed female

Thanks for your response! I’m currently at home a lot but will be back to work soon, so I don’t want him to be lonely for the 8-12 hours a day when I’m away.

I have an unneutered male. Human companionship works fine for him.
