My apartment has a balcony, and there’s a little tiny room on the balcony we use to store stuff. Every year we get wasps in that storage room. It’s such a pain, no matter what we do they come back. The first year we lived here they were actually in our crawl space, so at least they’re technically out of the apartment. Now sometimes we’ll get an occasional wasp or two in the house. Normally it’s not a big deal, we just capture/release them outside or kill them. I’ve gotten 4 in my room already . Should I be concerned about the wasps stinging my bunny? He doesn’t seem to notice them at all, or he simply doesn’t care. You think he might get stung one day? What should I do if he does??

Also we suddenly have an ant problem -_- I cleaned his cage today and found some in there. I gave his cage a good, deep clean twice in the past week and a half and didn’t see any then. But now there’s some. It’s not too bad. I swiped them up when I saw them, but I’m assuming they’ll come back. How do I get rid of them and make them stay away?? Obviously I can’t use any bug spray because of Nimmy… Would one of the ant traps be okay? I’m planning on building him a new cage after I’m done all my finals, which are this week. So should I just wait it out? Ideally it’ll be done by the 10-11th. I’ve already got him a new litter box and hut to go into his new cage, all I need are the tiles and the wood. Again, they don’t seem to bother Nimmy at all. They hang around his litter-box and I saw one in his food bowl (I dumped the whole thing out then rinsed it off and filled it with fresh food). So should I just wait for the new cage or what??

I’m sorry I don’t really have an answer for you. I would be concerned about that, as wasps will sting even if you leave them alone. There are wasp traps sold commercially or maybe that cheap flypaper you hang from the ceiling?? I don’t know if you can spray for the ants under the cage where he won’t walk, though I’d take him away while the spray settles, but I’m not sure really how safe that would be. Everyone has their limits when it comes to chemicals and, of course, you don’t want it to settle into the food bowls. But if the ants aren’t that bad and you’re that close to being done, I’d probably wait where the ants are concerned. As far as wasps…well, I’d have trouble ignoring that. But, again, everyone has their limits and you have to ultimately decide how severe you think they are. If you can afford it, I’d see what they have at the store. And you’re very kind to save them and put them out. I’d take care of them with a rolled up newspaper!
