Hello! I have 2 sweet girl buns. Ziggie or zigs is a 2 year old American, and Zoe is a 2 year old Dutch mix. They are both fixed. Zoe was adopted in December 2014 in hopes of having a friend for Zigs. At first they didn’t really mind each other. During their bonding sessions neither of them would move unless trying to escape the tub. Then the nipping began. At first Zoe would bite at Ziggie’s butt to get her attention, I assumed and Zigs was not having it. They would immediately begin to fight- circling and nipping at each other. I have been bitten during this. Ziggie’s jaw does not come unlocked once she has bitten down. Ouch! I’ve tried the stress bonding on the dryer and washing machine, and car stress bonding. These did not work either. They would begin to bite each other nonstop until separated. I finally gave up. Bought 2 puppy play pins and separated the 2 for good. I allowed Zoe to run free in Ziggie’s territory so I believe this is why Zigs does not want anything to do with Zoe. Ziggie is on one side of the two puppy pins and Zoe is on the other. Zigs is constantly marking her territory. Until recently when I came home to a room full of fur with skin still attached  . Zoe’s face was bitten in at least 6 places when there was blood drawn. Something needs to change. I’m desperate to find a way to let them at least tolerate each other so I am not always worried while away. Until I find a solution I feel the need to lock Zoe in her cage which is not fair because Ziggie does not have a cage. Ziggie is not able to get to Zoe’s cage but it is in the same room as Zigs. Please help!

I’m trying to do that too.  I have a two year old Mini Lop and I’m trying to bond them together too.  The older one, Caramel walked all over the younger one, Hershey.  I think Caramel starting to nip at her. I pulled her away.  I have them in different cages.
