So, we’ve been staying at my dad’s house since a pipe burst at mine, and we’ll be here till mid May at least.  My sister stays with my dad to take care of him.

Porky has been trying to convince her he is starving.  He is telling her that hay is not meant to be the cornerstone of the healthy bunny diet.  SHE BELIEVES HIM.

I think the fact that I complain about her feeding dad too much junk food doesn’t help.  Seriously, just b/c ice cream has milk in it doesn’t make it health food.

Lol, animals are good at convincing the unaware! Our cat Luca used to be an outside cat, cared for by our neighbor. She is the fattest outdoor cat I have ever seen. Come to find out, she would roam the neighborhood convincing people she was starving and live with them a few weeks. Then she would disappear and find a new house! Little beggar! Our neighbor asked us to take her in during the winter about a year ago. She’s declawed and spayed, so we decided to keep her indoors. Now she just tries her “look at me! I’m cute AND starving! You should feed me!” Look with us.

I totally agree. Ask my pets and they’ll tell you they’ve NEVER gotten ANY food ALL THEIR LIVES.

Lily’s bad about that, but the worst offender is definitely Remus the dog. Usually my dad or I feed him in the evening, then Mom comes home soon after, and he does his best to convince her that no, he has not eaten today!

Our dog Mysti did that. She ended up getting dinner 3 times one evening. She was one gassy pooch that night!

The guinea pigs I had when I was in high school used to make a real sucker out of my Dad! I’d come home and there would be like a whole head of broccoli or a bunch of carrots in their pen. I kept trying to tell him that they were on a healthy diet and were fed enough but he would just say “those “hamsters” are starving in there”. Whenever they would hear him, they would “boui boui boui” and he would give them food.

I’ve always thought how funny it is when the bunnies act like they have never had a bite of food EVER – at every single dinner time! Some of them even do celebration dances when they hear food being passed out lol.

Yup, Chester does the whole “I’m starving” routine. It’s hilarious when he does it with my boyfriend, the usual reply is “I just saw you eat a bunch of greens! Drama queen…” and then he gets pets

He also does it with whoever walks in the door, but all my friends are warned that he’s a little beggar.

When Starsky first went on his diet he tried to con every one. Any one that stood near his play area he would get their attention then run into his cage and proceed to push the empty pellet dish up the ramp to show them how his mean mistress was starving him.

Mr Roger doesn’t often beg, but when he does, he stretches his body as far as he can so that he’s reaching the dividing line between the carpet and lino (it’s just a metal strip – he’s just too much of a wimp to go over). He then stares at the food cupboard. Sometimes he hops back to us and then goes back to looking baleful.
