        Hi guys

So I got Cinnabun a while ago, and he’s a great bunny, he loves us and we love him. Unfortunately, lifestyle has changed out of necessity over the years, so right now he’s spending a lot of time alone in his cage. We pay a lot of attention to him when we’re home in the mornings and evenings and letting him out in his run a lot, but he still seems kinda understimulated.

Meanwhile, a relative gave us two of her rabbits to take care of since she couldn’t anymore. Not sure what happened to “Harold”, but he’s out of the question as a companion, since he’s frightened of anything that moves and panics at the slightest provocation*. The other one, who I’m thinking of introducing to Cinnabun, is Rose.

Rose is an interesting character. She is not spayed and is way too old by now to fix that. She has had a lot of experience with other bunnies, and has a history of being territorial and bossy. She’s toned down a lot, though, since she’s now an un-spayed bunny somewhere between the ages of 6 and 8.

Cinnabun is younger (3 years), and he’s kinda neutral to everything and anyone. He’s kind of just eager and curious like bunnies are wont to be and doesn’t have any outstanding personality traits that relate to bunny social life. He is pretty big compared to Rose, though, and certainly stronger and faster. The only thing is that he’s practically never been socialized around other rabbits before.

From the description, it already sounds like if this goes wrong then Rose will just be bullying Cinnabun around and he’ll become stressed and unfriendly. Still, it would be great if there were a chance of friendship between them, and it would be really good for each of them (though especially Cinnabun) if they could have some bunny friends.

Any thoughts? Should I even try? If so, what should I do?

How old is Rose? While I’ve heard of a neutered male and an uspayed female bonding, I wouldn’t suggest it. Intact females are very territorial and can be quite aggressive about it.

          Is Harold neutered?
