I have a white mini lop named ruby. I have recently noticed that she has dryed poop stuck to her butt. Now I know that you can’t give them a bath. I have tryed Luke warm water and a rag without any luck. She is really good and just lays there. Is there anything I can do?

You can do a butt-bath. Only the rear end of the bunny goes in the bath. Then you let the dried poop soften in the lukewarm water, then pick it out. I sometimes have used dog shampoo (just a little bit). Then you can dry the butt with a towel and if it’s cold where you live, you can use a hair-dryer and dry the little butt, but be careful, don’t hold the dryer too close to the skin.

This is a common problem with bunnies and generally means it’s getting too rich food. Bunnies need to eat lots of grassy hay for their intestines to work right. They shouldn’t eat seeds and fruit except in very small amounts. Excess amounts of pellets can also cause this.
