so whose bunnies do the “bunny flop”. Pepper does all the time. One minute he’s up and the next he’s on his side. The first time i saw him i had to run over to make sure he was breathing. He plays “dead” pretty well!  here’s a picture of him after a flop (ignore the messy wall, yes my youngest wrote on it!)

Both of mine flop but do you think I’ll ever get it on camera?!?! They jump up as soon as I pick up my phone.

Pumpkin’s little adorable white belly just kills me when she is flopped!

Rocky is a big boy and it take him 2 or 3 hard flops to get it right. It’s pretty cute!

Mine last night did a bunny flop and then rolled over to where my boyfriend was laying on the ground and remained flopped. It was very cute

Oh goodness, the first time a bunny owner experiences a flop…. I think we all had that first time where we panicked that our bunnies just up and died in the most comically dramatic way possible. When my first bunny first did it, she even gave a little front leg twitch to make me shriek and start tearing before she stood up and gave me a look.

Same with LLH, I cannot get a picture of Meki in full flop. I got a picture of her the other week post-flop when she righted herself again, but that’s the closest I’ll get to seeing my Tater-tot flopped on film!

My bunny has a routine. Every night, I tell him to go to bed (he is trained to run to his cage), I give him a treat when he gets in his cage, and then fill his hay for the night. When I go get his hay bag, he flops in his cage. Every night. Its such a routine for him that if I refill his hay for the night before he goes into his cage, he gets confused as to why I am not grabbing his hay and looks at me like I am denying him a flop. He flops ALL THE TIME that I find it weird when people say their bunny doesn’t flop lol. I unfortunately don’t have a picture though.

Kieko flops all the time. Marlee gracefully lays down and gently stretches her legs to the side. Moshi does more of a splat….flop on the side, roll to the belly, shoot the front legs forward, shoot the back legs straight back with bottoms of feet facing up. He does not have a graceful bone in his body so the entire movement is more like a combination of a flop and and a splat. Maybe a splop?

The scariest thing is the “dead” bunny roll. Once in a while, Kieko will flop and keep going until she’s completely on her back and just lay there. Sometimes she’ll look around while she’s laying like this and sometimes just stare at the ceiling. The first time I saw her like this it scared the crap out of me. The second time I scared her because I screamed “where’s my camera?!?!”
