pooh’s poo is soft today not like diarrhea but soft and green(still formed in a ball not super mushy but kinda on the moist side but not like super wet). The problem is he is laying or sitting down i’m pretty sure he has a stomach ache. Yesterday i switched pooh to timothy hay and mixed it in with alfalfa and now today hes acting strange. pooh is now 10 months old and a chunker monker so i decided it would be best to switch him over now. i am very worried for pooh bear…he does move when he wants to its just hes not even coming out of his cage! (that is super weird we usually fight about going back in and he smarts back off too me little brat but hes sooo cute) anyways can someone please reassure me he will be ok? what do i need to do? i’m scared for my baby.

right now he is sitting in my room in the dark hopefully resting and his tummy feeling better

BTW he goes into the vet saturday for his check up and nail clipping.

I’m glad that Pooh is feeling better! Did he eat any new veggies? Because of the green color of his poop, I wondered if he had something new besides the timothy hay. I know a person whose rabbit ate a big herb plant in the house, maybe basil or oregano (it’s been a long time and I don’t remember) and their rabbit pooped green poops afterwards.

Just like people, rabbits sometimes get a stomach ache or have gas. They can have short episodes where they don’t feel well and look like they are in some discomfort and may not poop much. As long as that only lasts a short while, the rabbit should be fine. If an episode lasts for half a day or more, that can be very dangerous and the rabbit would need treatment. Mention Pooh’s behavior and not normal poops to the vet when you go on Saturday.

well we figured out what happened he is fine he was just steaming mad at me because he got no treats. my little pooh wouldnt go in his cage after hours of play so i had to scoop him up and he did not want this. we always give him warnings pooh bed time or pooh go home. he usually does so well but he had one of his little stubborn days so mother had to get him and i was so sick. the main part that made him mad is if he doesnt go in and causes his mother too much trouble no rice puffs, he was so angry! lol it wasnt the timothy it was he was mad the good thing is the vet visit went perfect told her everything and she said his butt was nice and so clean she couldnt find it. He loved the vet girls all swooning over him telling him how good looking he was, secretly i know he wants to go back…he was all laying down nicely for them (i mean seriously pooh where did this come from you dont do this for mommy). the girls said they never seen such a well behaved rabbit…(really? shocker for me hes a stinker ) yeah they said no bloating and he is fine and i found out his pellets already have timothy in them.
