After I picked Moxie up from the vets I noticed a little white gunk in her eyes, but didn’t think much of it and put her in my room once we got home. A few hours ago I checked on her and examined the gunk. It was coming from both her eyes. It kinda looked like it was a white booger on the corner of each eye. She has never had any discharge from her eyes, and her eyes were perfectly clear and “dry” before her culture and trachea wash this morning. Could this be caused by the culture or trachea wash? Like an irritation? Or did the stress make her illness progress? But would it happen THAT quickly?

Any advice would be very much appreciated!!

It could be they put something on her eyes for the procedure to keep them moist – might want to call the vet and ask about that.

Oh, I also forgot to add that I wiped it away with my finger before I thought of taking pictures. I didn’t want to stress her out any more than I had to.

Great news, there’s no more mucus-like discharge in her eyes anymore. I think it was just a reaction to the drops they ended up putting in her eyes, so no need to worry.
