i dunno.  i think little dennis is a sad rabbit.

i’m debating to get her a friend or not but i would like some input either way.

she’s very skittish.  i don’t pick her up unless i’m taking her to the vet.  i feed her by hand.

she has a place near her litter box under the tv chair where she goes if she will allow you to pet her.. if that makes any sense..

other wise if you touch her she gets VERY UPSET

she has run of the house but she always chooses the saddest places to sleep   like near the furnace by a bunch of junk

she’s obsessed with fresh hay ie: she will climb the highest mountains to get to the bag .. i’m not stingy with it but she’s nuts.. i think if her face has been near it it’s “contaminated:”

the spca has adorable babies for adoption.. do you think a friend can help?

I think you are putting your emotions on her and I think that you want to get a cute baby rabbit.

Rabbits don’t know “junk” from anything else and most rabbits are skittish – that is natural rabbit behavior. In fact all of what you describe is just how a rabbit acts.

And no, if her face has been near the hay it is not contaminated.

I say just enjoy her for how she is and appreciate that and don’t get the baby rabbit.

If you think she doesn’t like anyone, you could work on spending time with her and bonding with her and see if anything changes.

Bunnies often seem to choose places to sleep that are out of the way, I guess to make them feel safe.

sorry, i didnt mean to say i was neglecting my bun.. she’s loved a ton and not remotely neglected

i’m just worried about her 3 against 1 dynamic, 3 carnies ( me my bf and dog) vs 1 OBLIGTE RAW VEGAN

i used to have a rabbit and i never worried for his sanity

but i’m starting to worrry for dear hopper’s sanity

Sounds somewhat good that when she’s under something she allows you to pet her. I think a lot of buns go under things and then lunge at any hands that come for them. If she has all that room to run and all that company I think she’s fine.Sarita’s right…unless you’re getting that second bunny itch. But def. only if YOU want it. I’d agree with Sarita, though, and continue to enjoy the one you have. But then that’s me. I find multiple rabbits exhausting and expensive.

Going to have to agree with Megabunny. Kieko was fun and relaxing when we just had her. I love all three of my bunnies to pieces but with three, I am exhausted and broke!! LOL!

                      thanks for the input.

                      i’m not getting another bun.

i think little dennis was a bit sick after her spay and that’s why she seemed sad. she’s doing a lot better now and seems friendly and happy again
