So Philomena is often very good about going “Beddy Byes” when prompted and I usually put her to bed before she starts finding the best place in the living room to settle down for the night. Last night however I was up later than usual doing homework so she got to run around for an extra two hours. She was doing 500’s and binkying everywhere. It was so cute. Well she ended up tuckering herself out and found a spot to go to sleep. Well when it was time for me to go to bed, I shook her treats and told her it was “Beddy Bye time” and instead of running excitedly into her cage and eagerly awaiting her treat like any other night, she got upset. She thumped at me and ran to another cozy spot not to far away. I tried again and she just thumped and did her annoyed growl and then tried to go back to sleep. I had to get the “good treats” to get her to go to bed. Silly little rabbit…

Philomena LOVES her treats and is happy to do anything to get them. However, sometimes she won’t want to do what you want her to and gets mad that you wont give her the treat anyway. For example, she got into a room where she wasn’t allowed, so i got the treats and told her to come here Mummy has nums nums for you. She looked at the treats, looked at me and where I wanted her to go (outside of the room she wants to be in) thumped at me and ran even further into the room. I try again and its just the same result. The looks she gives me are priceless. I get the “But Moooooooommmmm… I want to play under the couch…” and the “Why do I have to go to bed?”

I love bunny tantrums. They are just so adorable

In case your wondering I use yogurt treats (as they are her favorite and cannot resist them) when she is being really defiant or in the case of an emergency where I need her in her cage (like a stray dog walks into the house, Never actually happened but its a real threat). Otherwise banana works as a motivator.

Yeah, those yogurt treats are pretty bad so I can see why she likes them. Look on the bright side, you only get thumps and growls. When Leopold throws a temper tantrum, he will start throwing things about the room and trashing everything.

Cute! The best kind of bunny home…one that laughs and enjoys him even more when he’s being a brat!

Rule 1. bunnies like to go in places they are not allowed in.
Rule 2. They learn quickly to brides and wont take them

When my bunny gets mad randomly, it is usually just thumps and dirt flicks. Sometimes she does not like something and her way and will aggressively chew at it or move it. Like with me putting my shoes on this one spot on a rug. She claws and bites this one part of the rug that divides the front room and kitchen. So sometimes I put my shoes there, she will toss them aside and start going to town on that spot again.

When I did not have her for a long time, we had my bed and bathroom blocked off. One day she learned she had the power to jump over it and did >.>

Now the thing is going in my mom’s room to go under her bed… once she sunk in right past my mom and she did not even notice. Sometimes she jumps right out of her hutch and into the hallway right when that creaking sound of a door is herd.
