Well, think of it this was, the cost of one rabbit, tripled. triple the vet bills, food costs, space, time. Bonding takes a lot of work also.

Personally, I wouldn’t even consider a third bun until your two boys are both neutered, healed and bonded. Bonding takes a lot of work and time, and it can be very stressful sometimes.

I’ve read it can be really tough to bond a third bunny, so I echo what Moxie said. After reading some people’s horror stories about that, I’ve vowed to never try. Not to mention the expense, which is part of why I don’t want to get even a second one right now. Holy cow!!! One problem and say by to $500-$1,000

I had a trio for a time and bonding was definetly more difficult than with two, because they have to work out a pecking order. Three rabbits is obviously going to cost more, especially with the higher chance of a vet visit. I have to agree with Moxie that I think it would be best to get your current bunnies neutered, healed, and bonded and let them work things out for a while before considering a third bunny.
