A friend gave me a bag of Kaytee Healthy Bits Treats ( http://www.kaytee.com/products/healthy-bits-guinea-pig-rabbit.php ) for Christmas. Some of the ingredients aren’t things that I’ve given my rabbits before, such as oats, seeds and cracked corn. I’m particularly concerned about the corn because I thought I’d read that corn wasn’t good for rabbits, but I also find it hard to believe that Kaytee would manufacture something that would kill rabbits. Does this list of ingredients look OK, or should I just toss the bag?

I’d toss the bag. Corn is unhealthy and I’ve heard of rabbits choking on seeds. Also, the second most ingredient is alfalfa. There’s also peanuts, peas, and molasses. Just completely unhealthy and it should be marketed for hamsters and gerbils, etc but even then it’s not healthy for those small pets!
