So yeah my little Toki is convinced that hes “Man of Steel” and nibble off the paint and wall putty out of my walls or at some point the wall it self too . At first I tried pasting newspaper where he does eat it off and gradually my room is filling with newspaper. I cant keep filling my entire walls with newspaper. And more importantly is it safe that he does that?It cant be..is there anyway I could prevent that from happening? Help!

        Will update with pictures shortly..

Could you block the wall with a barrier? Like use NIC grids to make a fence?

Oh GOSH Tokii! For everything Henry has destroyed (and I mean ‘everything’!) he has left my walls intact – maybe he wants to get through my furniture, fabric’s and electric’s first??? Lol! Naughty bunny!

I heard a lot of member’s say they spray their walls with perfume, wipe vinegar over them, along with some other tricks…. hopefully they will add to your thread and you’ll have a couple of options to explore and try – I wish you luck. Seriously, for all that I have endured….. if Henry (free roam 24/7) eats my walls, he’ll be banned from that room! But then again… I did want some reno’s done???? Lol!

Ok heres one thing I should have explained,Currently I am living in a small apartment. Kind a like studio apartment. Since Toki is Litter trained I let him loose 24 hrs. I have already bunny proofed the entire room, I even kept the furnitures’ leaning against the wall so that its safe, and also to leave plenty of space for Toki to have fun. So putting a NIC grid surrounding the whole apartment wall isn’t an easy thing to do.

Hehe,so why not let Henry out, and you’ll go all “OOHH Look what Henry did, Guess we need to Redo the whole house” (inside grinning and happily jumping) LOLYeah maybe I should try spraying Vinegar on the wall but wont it leave a strong smell in the room? then spray perfume I guess.Thank you, I wish myself good luck too. I will go to lunch shortly and come back to office with few pictures and upload them. What he had done to my walls  Although I am more worried about his health too.

OMG!!! I don’t know what to say (well, I do, but it’s not appropriate! Lol!). I’m sorry Tokii, that is distressing! Can you sit something against it? Honestly, other member’s that have seen some of my home photo’s can vouch – I have bits or board and cardboard up all over the house to stop Henry from getting to ‘stuff”. It’s ugly and annoying, but what can you do???
I once wanted 2 bottles of wine and ended up buying a box (6, ha ha ha!) cause I wanted the cardboard box to stop Henry from getting to the corner I stashed my wrapping paper in, lol! Thing’s we do and try???? Dam bunny’s!
PS – The wine was on special!!! Ha ha ha ha……

Yes my thoughts exactly, have so many comments on my own head too  >.<". LOL

LOL!! Did the cardboard box help? Its Henry we’re talking about after all.  Ah yes, the wrapping papers,Toki loves shredding them and eating them too.

I am a very high OCD person, when I said I keep my furnitures’ leaning against the wall for Toki, I also do mean its for myself too , it would be like you said ugly and annoying to stuff things here and there to stop him from doing that but what to do I guess I will have to do it anyway.Oh things we do for love… TT_TT

Did you say OCD??? I’m the worst! What was I thinking getting a bunny??? Bloody fluff everywhere! Let alone his toys and cardboard boxes to jump on and chew! It’s worse than when my kid’s were little – good grief! And when I put up a board or cardboard to restrict Henry’s access – it has to be positioned just right, ha ha ha! Talk about try and make something ugly no matter what you do look good – but I have to try! Ha ha ha ha! Good thing I can laugh at myself!

YES! The things we do for love – I don’t always like Henry, but I love him SO much! Forget my hubby and kid’s (ha ha ha!), Henry is my WOW! your mine, how lucky am I to have you in my life! All this time later, I still ‘ooooh & aaaahhhh’ over him! Lol!

With the cardboard box, cut it in half at the corners and surround the corner wall (like a V – does that make sense?) and tape it to the wall if you have nothing to press up against it to hold it in place. And cut some cardboard up and place it along the wall where he chews – still spray the wall behind it with either vinegar or perfume, to try and turn Toki off from wanting to chew/hang out there. And then give Toki cardboard to chew. I have cardboard boxes (NO, not all wine boxes! ha ha ha!) not only in the dining/family room, but even my bedroom to try and deter him from chewing what he shouldn’t.

And people wonder why I hate guests turning up without any warning/phone call????? LOL!
I need at least 5/10 minutes to ditch/hide Henry’s stuff! (Serious face!) ha ha ha!

It doesn’t have to surround the entire apartment, just the spot that he’s chewing. I did this for Leopold because he wouldn’t stop picking at this spot on the wall. Oh boy was he angry when he saw the little fence I had made. He ran over to it, started shaking it, and then he threw a huge temper tantrum and scattered stuff all over the room. LOL He doesn’t chew that spot now though.

Moxie tries to peel paint off of my walls too. Try pouring white vinegar onto a rag and then rubbing it where she’s chewing the wall. Or you could put the vinegar into a spray bottle and spraying the wall.

AndHenry – LOL! Ohh sweet naughty yet lovable Henry. Yeah the box thing make sense. Guess I its will be a very busy evening with all the putting the card board boxes where he chew/scratch the paint off. I might as well do that to the entire wall leaving the roof  though  YES! EXACTLY! I wonder why people want to JUST DROP BY without a heads up/ unannounced. I mean Common! Its surprise enough people want to visit me . Thank you for the idea

LBJ10 – Thats is the problem here LB, he does this to alot of places(any area which the furniture isn’t leaning against the wall) I might as well do the whole room  I guess. *sign*  HEHE poor Leopold, but I guess it is good thing he stop so I will try that with Toki too. Thank you

MoxieMeadows – wouldn’t the vinegar leave a strong smell in the room? O.O its for until he stops right? when he does I wont have to spray right?

Tokii— Yes, it would only be until he stops. Vinegar can leave a smell behind (the smell just smells like vinegar). But when you think about it, that’s the point. Hopefully your bun wouldn’t appreciate the smell/taste of vinegar and would stop after a few attempts of eating the wall.
