Has anybody ever traded things in to Amazon, like movies video games etc? Wondering how it works and if it would be better than trading in at a store like GameStop. Thanks!

never traded things in although i’ve heard some positive things. Not sure where you get more bang for your buck. Though you potentially can get more at Gamestop due to their promotions or even Best Buy (when they have a bonus promotion). Nice thing about Amazon is that you can use their credit for anything in the store compared to Gamestop, which is only for games and stuff

Hmmmm, how messed up is this. I was checking some trade in values for games and they were stupidly low. But I have a Sailor Moon DVD set that I’ve seen sell for a bunch of money. I checked, and Amazon is willing to buy the set from you on trade in for $1.00, but they will sell it used for…..$299.99. Whaaaaat??????

Hubby and son always trade stuff in at GameStop. You never really get much, but $1.00 is a bit ridiculous.

From my experience, whenever you sell something to someone who is going to sell it again, you will not get much money at all. I think that if it is important to you that you get your fair money, you should try ebay or something similar. Just my experiences.

agreed.. this is why i never sold my college books, I found it ridic that I would get a quarter back for my paperback and then they would sell it back for 30 bucks. Or buy my chem book for 26 and then sell it back to others for 80

anyway, if you really want to get more, you are better off with ebay or craigslist, especially if they really want the item

I recall some friends of mine using a site called Glyde to buy and sell games and dvds; might be worth a check. I know I’ve gotten some cheap movies there, but I’m not sure how the actual selling function works.
