        Hi!

I was just curious, I’ve been using Yesterday’s News for years now, but given that we now have 5 bunnies (thus going through a lot of litter on a monthly basis) and how I keep hearing about people using wood stove pellets, I figured it might be worth testing. That said though I’m having trouble finding any good recommendations on specifically which ones people use. Menards and Home Depot is easily accessible to us so I was particularly curious what kind people get if you buy them from there.

Also, I know you’re supposed to avoid any that has accelerants in them, but how will I know if they have that? Does it clearly list it or is there some ingredient I should watch out for?

Thanks a bunch in advance for any help I get!

Home Depot has different brands each year, but it will say on there if there are any chemicals. I’ve never had an issue with the ones my local store carries.

If you’re still not sure, horse stall bedding is basically the same thing and is obviously chemical free. If you have feed stores or tractor supply places in your area, that might be an option.

I’ve used Golden Fire from Lowe’s and America’s Best from Orchard’s. Have not tried Menard’s or Home Depot (I called Home Depot and I think they didn’t carry it at the time). Both manufactured by the same manufacturer (Bear Mountain).
