        Hello,

My bunny daisy has a steep ramp to the top of her cage,

it has wood pieces along it to help with traction, but it doesn’t seem to do much,

so i was wondering if i could use grip liner, the kind you put in drawers to help? would it hurt her if she ate it?

If i cant use grip liner, what are some other ideas on what to put on her ramp to make it easier on her?

        Thanks so much!!!

         Love,

        Juliann and Daisy

We used zip ties to attach small size Oxbow hay mats to Kieko’s ramps. They provide plenty of traction and if she chews them she just gets a little healthy fiber.

            Thanks so much!

FYI — if the ramps are too steep, she may not use them at all.

I wouldn’t use grip liner, they can cause blockages if she chews them and eats the pieces.

I use these little rugs from Ikea on Porky’s ramps.

BORRIS Door mat IKEA Latex backing keeps the mat firmly in place.

You will need to secure them someway.  We use wood clothes pins.

I’ve tried a few things. Glued wood or even corrugate cardboard strips to it with Elmer’s white school glue. Or glued shredded paper/hay/straw with the same. Or on a wood ramp…unless it is composite which is near impossible to nail into. Nail on sea grass mats.

It is basically the nic grid, then coroplast, then the mats on top.
