My little Ziggy is looks like he’s getting a little chunky.  I’m not sure how to tell if he needs to lose weight or if I should just leave him as is.  Any tips on how to tell?  He’s eating & pooping regularly so no worries on that.  However, with more visitors lately he’s been getting more treats so I switched those from craisins to his regular pellets.

Since he knows he’ll get something for standing up.  For some reason everyone finds this adorable and he knows it now. lol!!

Sorry… I should note; I don’t give him his regular pellets when he’s getting them as fake treats through the day, so his pellet consumption is not really increasing.  And the craisins have stopped altogether… for now….

I’m wondering where you would cut back further anyway, if he isn’t getting pellets?? He’s probably fine anyway. Stop judging ha ha!

lol! He’s just looking chunky and I don’t know if it’s on the ok side of chunky or needs to lose weight chunky. When is too much belly, too much?
Right now he’s getting a handful of greens, a palm full of pellet for breakfast and again for din. But if company comes over I lessen the pellets at din a little. Everyone wants to feed the bunny since he’ll ignore you if you don’t have food. hahah!
My friend has trained him so that anytime he stands up looking cute she caves and gives him treats. lol! He’ll stand up in front of her as soon as she sits down. hahaha!!

If you check out the binkybunny facebook page, (can get to it via the Home page here) you can scroll down to last week’s Wednesday post. There’s a good video on overweight bunnies that gives you info. on the subject. She’s an excellent vet video maker, with many other ones on other topics with Amy Sedaris. (Actress and bunny lover.) It might help.
