Well the good news is, I finally have enough time to post an update after being absent from the forums for months. Now for the bad news.

I no longer have Ashe. She didn’t pass away as far as I know, but I don’t know where she is at anymore. A friend took her in to see how she would behave without another rabbit present in her territory. She did 10x better, only trying to bite once in the beginning. So, I made the decision to let my friend keep her, with the promise that her food and exercise would stay the same. She was doing well, and I got the occasional update with a photo.

One day a few months ago I asked how she was doing and my friend responded that she had to give her away, due to pregnancy. I asked why she hadn’t mentioned this, and that I would have taken her back in a heartbeat rather than lose her. WELL, she gave her to someone on a facebook pet swap page and then that person got bit and gave her away again. As a result, I have no idea where she is or if she is alive and well.

Moogle went into some kind of depression after Ashe left the house, even though they never got to see each other. He slowly got over the loss after we adopted a kitten from the shelter. They were instant friends. The kitten turned out to be a terror, however, so we got another kitten to help spend some of his energy while we are at work. SO NOW, I have 2 cats and a rabbit.

The cats and rabbit love to stampede through the house, and I think Moogle thinks he’s a cat now. I still have a dream to bond him to another bunny, but I will let him choose his friend way down the line. He seems content with his feline friends for the time being and I’m still extremely sad about Ashe. I have been watching the forums hoping to see her picture pop up at some point when the person that gets her needs advice on her biting

So glad you are back, we missed you. I am also happy Moogle and your kittens are doing well.
I am so sorry about Ashe. I admire your choice to allow your friend to keep her, it is horrible that everything turned out like it did. My thoughts are with you- I am sure this brings a lot of loss and doubt to your mind.
I do hope that wherever Ashe is, she is happy and well-cared for. The only thing I could suggest is to check craigslist and rescues around you occasionally to see it she pops up.

I keep an eye on the Animal Shelter and the KC rabbit rescue. It’s been awhile, so I’m hoping whoever got her really likes her. She does very well as a single bunny. We ordered a stuffed bunny from BB store for Moogle for Christmas. It should be here soon.

              Good on you Jessie.
I am hoping that too. I mean, she’s adorable!
Bunny kisses to you and Moogle.

Wow, I don’t understand how someone could do that. I mean, the first thing that would come to my mind is to ask the person that the bunny came from if they wanted him/her back. Was she embarrassed or what? Doesn’t make sense. Not to mention it’s kind of rude.

Oh well, I guess all you can do is keep an eye out. I’m glad Moogle is doing well. I had been wondering about you guys (seems like there have been several members MIA lately).

Oh, I let her know how I felt. We havn’t talked since then. She said she thought I wouldn’t want her, so she did me a favor and found a “good home”. I think she gets it now.

Glad to see you back. I’m sorry about that sad situation. Very unthoughtful of your friend.

                      That sounds so stressful.

We had a similar issue with one of our ferrets.

He didn’t get on with my older girls and found somebody who wanted him.

We regrettably passed him on, thinking it was the best for him, only to find, a couple of weeks later, he had been put on GumTree, they were selling him along with all the equipment we had gifted to help…

We did manage to get him back and we persevered, he’s a lovely boy, now.

I hope you catch wind of where and with whom Ashe is!!

wow that sounds ridiculous. I’m sorry that your “friend” lacks any sense. it saddens me that it has happened that way. however there has to be a way for you to track your bun down isn’t there? there has to be some exchange of communication via email or Facebook message. do you think there is a chance you can see where Ashe ended up? if you do look into it good luck!
