Weird qustion, but im curious. Does anyone elses rabbit make a certain “face” and you immediately know that they are about to poop? Especially when it is the cecotropes… It’s not really a face, but more of a position, it’s just that her eyes kinda close which makes it look like shes making a face. She has always done this so im not worried or anything, i was just wondering if anyone elses rabbit does this.

Not while pooping, but Pete will get this possessed look on his face (not sure how else to describe it) and then stick out and wiggle his butt/tail before he pees; like yours, he’s always done it so not really worried.. just weird.

Yes, they make faces, and wiggle and lift their tails. Be grateful – it’s the warning signs that can help you grab your bunny and get them into the litter pan before it’s too late.

Oh.. once you see the butt-wiggle it’s too late! It’s either going to be a puddle or a trail, your choice. lol

RP – They say the same thing with dogs too. When my dog was a little puppy, that SO did not work. Once she was ready to go, there was no stopping it. I remember several times where I caught her getting ready to poop in the house and I grabbed her to race her outside. There was a trail of poop leading all the way to the door as I ran with her. LOL

Someone should capture one of these looks. Mine just wiggles and hunkers down when he’s about to do his business.

Cupcake also makes a face before she pees but its not as obvious as the “pooping face”

I’ve never noticed a poop face, but it takes Kieko a couple of foot moves before she’s satisfied with her pee stance then up goes the tail. Marlee is so fluffy that all of her positions look the same, you have to look close to even see her raise her tail through all the fluff. I don’t think Moshi stops whatever else he’s doing when he goes — he just poops and pees while he’s eating hay without missing a beat.

Nate definitely has a poop face. He does the butt wiggle, and backs into the corner. He gets kind of squinty eyed. It’s definitely unique. lol

I’m not sure it would help much, as when he does it… the poop is there mere seconds later.

Nutmeg has this look when she poops. I have a pic, but don’t know how to post from a tablet.

I never noticed Oscar making a pee or poop face, but he does have a special face for eating poops. I can always tell if he’s eating food or “something else” by his posture and his expression. Not exactly a skill one should brag about, though…

I also noticed that he makes a face when his stomach is upset and he’s uncomfortable/in pain. He kind of sucks his cheeks in, when I look at him from above, it’s very obvious. I can tell something is wrong just by that. Does anyone else’s bunny do that?

LBJ10 – At least you got her outside. Every time I grabbed my pet to make it outside, the flow would have stopped. I never had the best timing.

JP – Uh yeah, she would pretty much be all pooped out by the time she was placed outside. LOL

Obie and Potus definitely have a stance/face for edible poops. It reminds me of a vulture and they seem to really concentrate hard, squinting their eyes. Also, Potus does this weird wiggle/butt vibration thing and sometimes lifts his back a bit when he’s making edible poops. It just seems to be his thing.
