Can bunnies have tomato? We happen to have a lot on hand right now and I didn’t see them listed at all in the HRS listing…

Yep they can. Just be careful with how much you give because it’s very acidy and might give sore mouths to buns Also, I think you have to take out as much seeds as you can though I’m not sure about that.

No seeds or green bits, leaves and stem are poisonous. They are very high in vit C which buns don’t really need in large quantities. I personally prefer not to let mine have it.

The skin is ok then? I gave her a little bit of the leftovers and scraped out the seeds…She really liked it, so more as a treat than a staple?

Skin is perfectly fine. Not sure how you would peel a tomato though LOL. You’re correct to use it as more of a treat then every day veg to put in her salad I haven’t given Bun Bun tomato for a couple months now.

Mine love tomato. It is best to take the seeds out of the large ones, but they can eat the seeds in the cherry ones just fine. (Main issue with seeds is the choking hazard)

I’m kind of surprised she ate it…she won’t go near any bell peppers, which is a bummer cuz I usually have those on hand too. Yay for a new treat!
