I was sitting on the floor and Dusti comes over and lays by me. He was all sprawled out and started clicking (like he was clicking his top and bottom teeth together). He’s six months and I’ve never head that sound come out of him before. It was loud, but I was also sitting right next to him. He didn’t look like he was in pain, though. He’s eating and pooping just fine. He’s been running around, not lethargic. And he was laying in his usual position. I did hear it again when he was in his cage for the night, but he was sitting up right and attentive, not hunched over.

I’m not sure if I need to be worried or not. I’ve read very mixed signals on clicking.

          Could it be tooth purring?

My bun lightly grinds her teeth when I pet her and I’ve been told that it’s a sign that they are comfortable and happy.

If it seems really loud, you might want to get it checked out. I thought Cinnabun was doing that last summer but it turned out to be a rather serious respiratory infection. His breathing was so shaky that it sounded like tooth grinding.

Yeah my rabbit will grind his teeth while I pet him telling me that he’s happy and comfortable! It will be pretty quite when he does this and the only reason I noticed is because I was petting in between his eyes and I felt vibrating xD And if you leaned in closer you could hear it!
